meet the host!

I come from a long line of dairy farmers, so I’m a farm girl at heart! My dad is a fourth generation dairyman, so the world of agriculture has always fascinated me. I spent my childhood on the farm playing in the dirt and learning everything that I could. As you can imagine, I love all things cheese (it just wouldn’t be right if I didn’t)! I also enjoy the outdoors, traveling and spending time on the river, fishing and relaxing! I consider myself a true homebody as well. There’s nothing I love more than walking around barefoot, mowing the grass, and playing in the garden.

My day job is insurance with a special focus on wine, craft beer, cider and (you guessed it) farming. Until about ten years ago, I was not a wine drinker, but I enjoyed all things craft beer. When the opportunity to learn about wine presented itself, I jumped at the chance to learn something new. I ended up falling in love with the personalities, the process and the farming surrounding the wine industry. After that, Wine Crush Podcast found me, and I felt it was a great opportunity to showcase the personalities in the wine industry, dispel the myths surrounding wine and to encourage those unsure about it to step up and try it! The wine industry has opened my eyes to so many new experiences, travel opportunities and friends! I’m thankful for all it has taught me, and for all that it will continue to teach me.
