A live stream cooking show featuring a series of local chefs and winemakers out of the Oregon Wine Country.
Welcome to our very first Pair it Up show! Sponsored by Country Financial, hosted by yours truly: Wine Crush Podcast! We’ll be live streaming a short culinary and wine series featuring one local chef and winemaker per show, out of the simplicity of my own kitchen in the Oregon Wine Country.
We invite you to tune in and either cook with us, or just watch and gather ideas to make on your own! For those who choose to cook with us, we’ll be providing the ingredients for each show, along with where to buy the wine. (see below)
We’re launching on August 12th, 2020! Featuring Hazelfern Cellars, and Chef Dustin from Biscuit and Pickles Catering.
Join us on Instagram @winecrushpodcast to tune in at 6pm!
Smoked confit chicken with summer corn-heirloom tomato risotto, and chimichurri.
Vanilla bean poached peach, angel food cake, cardamom-orange crema.
Hazelfern Cellars 2019 Summer Rose. Taken straight from their website:
“Bone dry, refreshing, and delicious! On the nose this wine features farm peaches, guava, fresh cut flowers, and sea salt air. Refreshing acidity and zippy texture on the palate with accents of white peach pit, golden raspberries, and salty minerality. Perfect for a hot summer day! Serve chilled.”
Heidi Moore, your wine loving podcast host and Wine Insurance agent with Country Financial! I started Wine Crush Podcast to explore the wine cultures of Oregon, Washington, and Idaho where my passion stems from growing up in an Agriculture centric home. I truly love to be out in the country, on the water, and out in the field building relationships with people.
Chef Dustin from Biscuits and Pickles!
Your catering experience should never be overwhelming, lacking in creativity, or unwilling to meet specific needs.
They provide a catering and menu experience that is unique in both flavor, and costumer service. Biscuits and Pickles takes the mundane, and make it extraordinary.
Meet Brian and Laura Lang! Bryan started making wine in 2006, experimenting with every tactic and style like a pinot-fueled mad scientist. The focus of every vintage is to make food-friendly wines that feature the terroir and truth of the grape rather than clouding the taste to follow trends. Hazelfern’s dedication to organic farming mirror Bryan’s love of cooking and farm-to-table style.
As Hazelfern’s General Manager, Laura is the driving force behind the experience and heart of Hazelfern. From co-winemaking to running the finances, planning the events, and hosting guests in the Hazelfern wine barn, Laura truly wears every hat there is.
We’ll be streaming live on both Instagram and Facebook. If you are watching from Facebook you’ll need to “befriend” Heidi’s personal page to tune in.
If you’re on Instagram, it will be a “live”, then uploaded to IGTV for future replay.
Please note that the live video will be in “vertical orientation”, so prepare for that if needed.
