"As I was looking at what to specialize in, the vineyards became an opportunity for me that I truly wanted to understand and pursue."
We’re based in the heart of the Oregon wine country, in McMinnville! We’re on year 4 of production, launching again after a brief COVID hiatus, on January 8th, 2021 in our brand new production studio downtown.
WCP is sponsored by Country Financial and other wonderful local partners. We want to give a special thanks to Portland Radio Project for getting our start and helping us along the way.
With combined marketing and production efforts from PRP, and our national listeners we wouldn’t be here today without any of you! Thank you for making this possible!
"I started Wine Crush Podcast to explore the wine cultures of Oregon, Washington, and Idaho where my passion stems from growing up in an Agriculture centric home. I truly love to be out in the country, on the water, and out in the field building relationships with people"
With a background in agriculture dating back two generations, Heidi Moore is no stranger to the farm life. Both her father and grandfather were dairy farmers in Tillamook, Oregon who taught her the true meaning of waking early and tending to the land and cattle first. Growing up Heidi would care for roughly 125 cows every morning and every evening! The farming lifestyle gave her an appreciation for hard work where in turn it provided her the lessons used to this day.
Heidi’s discovered her niche in the wine industry through Wine Insurance. Her background in Oregon agriculture provided an innate passion for the land and country life, and while on a search to find her true passion – she landed on the wine industry.
Over the past 5+ year’s Heidi dove headfirst into what it means to run a successful winery, from learning about the terroir to how the tasting room operates by embarking on a wine studies through Linfield’s Wine Immersion Program. This intensive summer-long program provided a comprehensive understating of the wine industry from Oregon’s top wine producers.
It was these studies that helped her understand wineries from a different side other than simply offering Wine Insurance. She truly wanted to understand inside and out. Protecting your land, your wine, your property is often not written properly, yet it is the very asset that needs the finest of coverage. Should you ever have a need for a second opinion, please reach out!
Rewind to 2016 when Country Financial released its brand-new wine policy, Heidi was one of the first agents to utilize it. Upon learning more about the risks and downfalls of operating a winery, she found that many local Wineries had significant gaps in coverage. The issues ranged from lack of bulk wine coverage, no earthquake endorsements, to lack of essentials with no spray liability. With this information in one hand and Country Financial’s all-encompassing Wine Policy in the other, she brings a totality of wine protection to the table.
She has been with Country Financial for nearly a decade now, and was originally drawn to them because of their roots in agriculture, and their desire to be at a higher caliber than our competitors in terms of quality and relationships. Country aspires to provide the best claims experience and customer service in the industry.
